A
WELCOMING LETTER
FROM ELENA LINARES

Casablanca is not a hotel or a rental villa. It is a personal home
representing well-trodden paths of the Linares family legacy.
Our parents emigrated
from the Dominican Republic to New York to give their nine children a
better life and higher education. Our parents looked at life as a gift
each and every day, focusing on the good and the world around them. They
kept their eye on what they wanted most, and worked very hard their
whole life to realize it.
Growing up with those types of role models, we learned perseverance,
commitment, and patience. Their example led us to fulfill their dreams.
Their first born made history becoming the first Dominican born elected
to city government in the United States! A parade was held at the
Presidential Palace in Santo Domingo in his honor and till this day, he
is one of the most influential and affluent Dominicans in the Dominican
Republic and United States.
Their final wish was as
small as their bank accounts: to return to their native land, to build a
little house on a quiet stretch of road, a place to plant flowers, feed
the birds and put their feet up with family. Our parents were very
humble people. My parents taught us how to be generous and sacrifice for
others not through words, but through deeds. Casablanca is a symbol of
our final deed to our parents.
Beautiful Casablanca was a very special gift to our loving parents, our
way of saying thank you. Thank you for all they had done, for the
efforts they made then built the family we enjoy today. Casablanca was
the home they always wanted and more than they dreamed it would be.
Built on a plateau with magnificent views of turquoise sea, powder white
sands, and island beyond, Casablanca is a special place where we have
captured the energy, love, and memorable life of our magnificent
parents.
Our
parents spent their final years in Casablanca basking in happiness,
love, family, and friends just as they wanted. Our home is the center of
treasured memories. We share our magical home with others in honor our
parents. We hope Casablanca gives our guests the same magical feel and
wonderful memories it has given us the Linares family.
Sincerely,
Elena Linares
